Hello and welcome to our early spring programme at The Roses. This season has a fantastic range of drama, music, comedy, opera and film, plus, there’s some great opportunities for you to take part.

From 2012 The Roses will have lost over £80,000 in local authority funding as public sector savings start to take effect. In order to survive we are looking at a variety of ways of both reducing expenditure and increasing our income. We are ambitious and cherish this important theatre, so we are aiming to do this in a way that strengthens our exciting and highly valued programme. Last year we had approximately 80,000 visitors

and participants at The Roses. If every one of those visitors was able to spare £1 we would be able to raise the funds we need. Therefore, when you book, we will ask you if you would be able to contribute a voluntary £2 per booking towards securing the future of The Roses. This is completely voluntary so if you are unable to help then we understand, but hope that you don’t mind us asking. I look forward to seeing you here soon
