Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway
Ravenglass, Cumbria
The Railway runs for seven miles (11.3 kilometres) from the Lake District National Park's only coastal village of Ravenglass in the Western Lake District, through hidden Miterdale, to the grandeur of the Eskdale valley. The terminus at Dalegarth for Boot - home to our new visitor centre - nestles at the foot of England's highest mountains. We run at least six trains daily from 21st March to 1st November, but are also open most winter weekends, and throughout the Christmas holidays and February half term.
Our improved timetable allows more quality time at Dalegarth for you '¦ We've added a great voucher scheme where return travel on the Railway is complemented by half price cruises at our sister attraction, Ullswater 'Steamers' '¦ We've developed a great new discounted travel pass for visitors staying a few days in the area, or intending to travel several times during the course of the year '¦ and there's a new improved menu at Fellbites Eatery '¦
Scratch cards for kids, free line guide for adults, cycle carriages, cycle hire and special trails, purpose written walks and rambles, full calendar of special packages and events.
