Rufford Abbey Country Park
Ollerton
Rufford Abbey was founded as a monastery over eight hundred years ago. Later, it was transformed into a grand country estate, part of the North Nottinghamshire "Dukeries".
Today the Abbey ruins form part of a unique visitor attraction close to famous Sherwood Forest. Today Rufford is a beautiful 150 acre country park, open all year round, for everyone to enjoy. From tranquil lakeside walks to hands-on craft workshops, from art exhibitions to a children’s maze, you’ll find lots to see and do. Come and discover one of Nottinghamshire’s best family days out.
